Jalapeno-Pepino Margarita

This daring rendition of a Mexican classic is the perfect balance of sugar and spice. The mellow sweetness of the cucumber is immediately followed by the subtle tingle of the fresh jalapeño. A refreshing cocktail for any occasion.

1 Cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz. silver tequila
1 1/2 oz. agave nectar
1 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/4 cucumber, enough to produce four wheels
1 or 2 jalapenos, depending on desired amount of spice

Preparation
  1. Peel Cucumber, make sure to remove as much of the rind as possible (Otherwise, the drink may come out bitter). Slice the peeled cucumber into four wheels.
  2. Remove the stems and seeds from the jalapenos. Slice jalapenos horizontally into wheels.
  3. Combine cucumber wheels, jalapenos and lime juice in a mixing cup
  4. Proceed to muddle the contents of the mixing cup until the ingredients are almost liquified.
  5. Add tequila, agave nectar and ice to the muddled ingredients.
  6. Shake (no need to strain the cocktail) and serve on the rocks!
